PERFORMANCE, STRESS & RECOVERY
for LIFE, WORK & SPORT
The Inner Athletics Research Map© explores how people excel and flourish in life, work, and sport, and the role of psychology, philosophy, and physiology in their performance, stress, and recovery process.
Underpinning most of my research is the science of Positive Psychology and Exercise & Sport Psychology. In the past, I have also explored the role of Jungian Psychology in post-traumatic growth, specifically with regard to archetypal journeys and finding lost parts of ourselves.
Central to my own journey have been the parallel practices of yoga, martial arts, and fitness. Each has its own philosophical, psychological, and physiological dimension, and offers a pathway to embodying values and principles designed to keep us healthy, whole, and engaged.
The Inner Athletics Teaching Models, Systems and Research Projects emerged out of enquiries prompted by this map. It has become a lens through which I explore performance-related topics, and is very much linked to the multiple paths that I have walked through life, work, and sport.
