Module 1 is all about the Science. You will study The Psychology of Strengths, Authenticity, Resilience, Positive Emotions, and Motivation. As your tutor, I will challenge you to think critically and reflect on how these topics relate to your life and the lives of your future clients or colleagues.

Modules 2 and 3 of the course are where you study Coaching Skills and Coaching Practice. These modules will equip you with the skills needed to use coaching as a pathway to sharing Positive Psychology with your network and/or future clients.

As a bonus, there is an optional module at the end of both courses on Professional Development. This module isn't assessed but it will offer support and ideas in getting your business ideas off the ground, or moving further into Positive Psychology research.

Want to hear the really good news?

The programme is not only online but also self-paced!

You can also start any time of the year and hit pause when needed. It typically takes 6 to 9 months to complete but can also take as little as 3 months (if you study full-time) or as long as 12 months - or more. It really depends on how busy you are and the pace you want to set yourself.

At the start of your study journey, we will set your pace and discuss the support you will need from me. We will develop your personal study plan with dates marked for your assignments. These assignments will include academic essays, personal reflections, and case study tests.

The course is designed to work for people of different strengths and backgrounds. Some of you will be adept at academia while others will be more at home in practice. I'll help you to draw on your strengths and look out for any weak spots that might hold you back from succeeding!

On successful completion of the course, you will receive a PPG accredited diploma and may refer to yourself as a Positive Psychology Practitioner and Coach. You will also be entitled to free PPG membership for up to one year during your studies, and professional registration afterwards (see here).

This course is a great way to develop your knowledge of psychology while also acquiring professional skills you can practice along the way. While Positive Psychology will be the main area of study, there will also be content from Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and other fields of study.
